How does it work or Why a basket as well?
This is a medium term deposit. Half of the money is invested for six years in a basket of three easily understood and risk diversified global assets. They are Oil (the price to rise), the Dollar (to rise against Sterling), and the FTSE-100. Research shows that all are expected to rise over the 6 year term. By linking your investment to this diversified basket as opposed to individual assets, shares, or funds, the Opus Bond is able to provide extra ‘juice’ for the return and you are better protected from stock market fluctuations. In other words, the basket finances the income. With uncapped growth, this basket could provide additional returns over and above the income portion of the account.
